Some of the camera accessories are useful and, in some cases, even affordable. The accessories are billed as add-ons for DSLRs, but many can be used with any camera.

One of the accessory is the Domke color-coded protective wraps, it come in four colors and are a great way to carry and organize your DSLR lenses. But they can just as easily serve as a jacket for your point-and-shoot camera, and cost less than $20 each.

Similarly, the XShot 2.0, which enables you to extend your arm’s length to take better photos of yourself, can be used with pocket shooters, lightweight DSLRs, and even camcorders. The $25 extender attaches to your camera and basically lengthens the reach of your arm, enabling you to snap photos of yourself in front of monuments or while hanging out of a train. The compact device extends to 37 inches. All you need is a time-release shutter to make it work.

Here’s a great little gadget that is priced right: The $9 Stand Pouch is a compact camera case that has a connector on its bottom that enables it to do double duty as a small tripod.

And for those of you who need a hand with Photoshop, the Photojojo Keyboard Shortcut Skins helps you remember and use the shortcut commands. Custom-fitted skins are available for a variety of Mac notebooks and keyboards (sorry Windows users). Photojojo also has keyboard slipcovers for Aperture, Final Cut Pro and other image-editing apps. Cost is reasonable at $30 for laptops and $40 for desktops.
